Kuan Yin Series

The Name of Kuan Yin 
Of her many titles Bodhisattva of Compassion is one of them. Bodhisattva comes from the Sanskrit word “bodhi” meaning enlightenment”. The term enlightenment is for those who choose to remain to assist those still struggling in the physical world. A Bodhisattva cultivates virtue and pursues a spiritual career while on a path of self-sacrifice for the welfare of others and while doing so gives compassionate and loving service to humanity. The Bodhisattva can be unascended and still embodied on earth or a celestial being as is Kuan Shi Yin.
Kuan Yin is cross-cultural, non-denominational,  and revered by many spiritual and religious traditions around the world. To understand Kuan Shi Yin we need to look at the historical gatherings to understand the basis of this lady of mercy.
